According to Bihar SI Recruitment 2023 syllabus, a total of 2 papers will be conducted in which first prelims exam will be conducted, after that main exam will be conducted.

Bihar Police SI Prelims Exam Pattern 2023 (Paper 1)
According to Bihar Sub Inspector Recruitment 2023, first there will be prelims exam paper. In which 20 times the number of candidates who pass the pre-exam of Bihar Police Sub Inspector will be called for the main exam.
- All questions in the written examination paper (pre-exam) will be objective multiple choice type.
- There will be 100 questions in the pre exam.
- Prelims exam paper will be of 200 marks
- The written examination paper will be of 2 hours (120 minutes)
- The examination will be conducted through computer based online medium.
- There will be a deduction of 0.2 marks for each wrong answer.
- To pass the Prelims exam, minimum 30% marks are required i.e. 60 marks have to be obtained.
- These marks of Paper-I will not be included in the merit list.

- All questions in the written examination question paper will be objective multiple choice type.
- Every student needs to score 30% marks to pass.
- There will be negative marking of 0.2 marks for each wrong answer.
- The written examination paper will be of 4 hours (240 minutes) duration.
- Only 6 times the number of vacancies will be called for PET exam.
